Membership

Chadwick Library has an open membership policy. Any adult may use the library at K.Shs. 20/- per day. School children may use the library for study and revision at K.Shs. 10/- per day.

 

Pastors’ Lending Library

A number of smaller non-academic books of particular use to village pastors and evangelists have been set aside,

given a blue sticker and put together in a special area of shelving as the ‘Pastors’ Lending Library’.

A subscription to this library is K.Shs. 250/- p.a.

Newspapers and Periodicals

Current month’s newspapers and magazines may be used for free.

Searches for older copies, K.Shs. 20/- per issue.

Regular users who wish to borrow books will benefit from taking out membership at the following rates:

Orange membership 1—loan of 1 book for 2 weeks…………1,500/-p.a.

Orange membership 2—loan of 2 books for 2 weeks……….. 2,000/-p.a.

Orange membership 3—loan of 3 books for 2 weeks……….. 3,000/-p.a.

Orange membership 4—loan of 4 books for 2 weeks………. 4,000/-p.a.

Violet membership—is a special membership for those who support

      Chadwick Library.  These members are contributing towards the 

      acquisition of new books and other materials for the library as well as

      having full use of the library facilities………………minimum   5,000/-p.a.

 

Archives and Research Facilities

The Archives and Research Room is not open to general users.  Application by bona fide researchers to use this room and its materials should be made in writing.  The researcher should state their institution, their position and the detailed area of their research. The charge will be considered on an individual basis. Researchers who wish to spend several days or more working on their research may be accommodated at Eshimuli Guest House next door to the library.
